India Travel Advisory by the United States Government

Reconsider Travel Advisory Locations – Level 3 – Northeastern states (Manipur is in this region & is at level 4)

Do Not Travel Advisory Locations within India – Level 4

  1. Jammu & Kashmir, except for the leh-Laddakh area,
  2. Within 10 km of the India-Pakistan Line of Control (LOC),
  3. Some portions of Central & East India
  4. Manipur

India Travel Advisory by the United Kingdom Government (FCDO)

Warning: Your travel insurance could be invalidated if you travel against the advice from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).

Areas where FCDO advises against travel 

  1. Within 10 Km of the India-Pakistan border except for at the Atari-Wagah border, where travellers can cross the border.
  2. The region of Jammu and Kashmir (including Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonamarg, the city of Srinagar and the Jammu-Srinagar national highway), except for travel by air to and from & in the city of Jammu & the region of Ladakh
  3. Manipur
